Animal Kingdom ~ Vintage Tarzan

Recently Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom put an end to its stage show, Tarzan Rocks. It was also announced that another show will be replacing it by the end of this year. Finding Nemo: The Musical. A stage show similiar to that of MGM Studio's Voyage of the Little Mermaid where the use of puppets, stage effects and lighting will bring you a show unlike any you've ever seen... at Animal Kingdom.

Pictured above is one of the Tarzan performers during the seven year run. He's quite leaner than the one I saw last December so expect to see him as well as other Vintage Tarzan posts in the coming weeks.

But don't worry fans of Tarzan Rocks, Disney has transformed the story of Tarzan into a stage musical set to debut worldwide on May 10th.

i've seen the tarzan broadway musical currently in previews and it's pretty bad. the staging and direction is awful. plus josh strickland (of american idol fame and whom i can vouch for setting off my gaydar) looks ridiculously skinny in the title role.
