Adventureland ~ Jungle Cruise View

One tip I discovered when riding Disneyland's Jungle Cruise ride is to sit in the "Jungle Cruise View" seat. Most people pass up this seat because the norm is to sit on the left or right side of the boat. Cast Members arrange passengers this way so that the boat is balanced when it starts on its trip. But the middle seating area is usually left empty. One thing you can do if you are a party of one or 2 is to go straight for the middle seating area.

Put your back against the boat's fake engine as seen in the photo above marked by the gold star. Sit forward with yours legs on both sides of the seating area so that you're facing forward. Once you have this position you will have a face forward view of the entire ride. Try this next time when you get on the boat.

If a Cast Member is demanding that you sit on the left or right side of the boat just reason with them and politely demand that you want a "face forward" view of the attraction. 99 precent of the time the Cast Member will move onto the next guest once you say this and continue on with their job.

CM's pretty much know that if you sit in the middle seating area you are not going to unbalance the boat so don't worry about demanding to sit there for the ride. You're not an asshole for wanting this seat. You're just another guest in the resort requesting to be seated in a seat that isn't going to hurt anyone but just give you great memories and a wonderful attraction experience you'll remember for quite some time.

And don't forget to ride Disneyland's Jungle Cruise once during the morning hours and definitely once during the evening hours when the sun has completely gone down.
