Epcot ~ World Showcase Bridge

Notice the average Disney Park visitors in the photo above as they wait in frustration... that's because none of them had any idea that the World Showcase bridge was going to lift up blocking them from getting to their Epcot destinations.

My party was among the many park visitors who were told to wait as a very slow moving boat filled with Illuminations props passes by into the large lagoon for the show later tonight. I was told the bridge comes up a few times during the day to allow several boats through and that sometimes the wait can last as long as 25 minutes.

The bridge itself is located just between the China pavilion and the Germany pavilion. I did notice an angry woman complain to the Cast Member behind the steel gate get an ear full because she was going to be late for her lunch reservation for the San Angel Inn inside the Mexico pavilion. What the hell, was this Cast Member going to bring the bridge down just for her so she can make her lousy appointment that can easily be rescheduled?

People, please don't expect everything to go your way while visiting at a Disney Park. Mickey happens. If you find yourself late for an appointment then don't worry because the employees at that resturant will understand that you, the average park visitor, can be late due to situations/events that are sometimes out of your control.

I was also told this bridge problem only happens during the middle of the day. If you find yourself in this situation then check out some nearby shops or take a seat and just relax.

Hidden Gay ~ Vintage Park Visitor

Somewhere inside MGM's wonderfully entertaining Walt Disney: One Man's Dream exhibit you'll find this Hidden Gay. Please put some time aside during your visit to MGM studios to learn more about the creation of the parks as well as the creation of Disney entertainment. A must see!

As for the picture, all I know is that the photograph dates back to the time before Micoofy Duck was born and the husband featured in this foto is what queer dreams are made of. Yum to the vintage park visitors!

Even The Hardcore "K-Fed's" Ride I.A.S.W.

In case you aren't in the loop of Disney Park abbr's let me kindly fill you in. I.A.S.W. stands for the It's A Small World ride. And K-Fed means Loser via Britney's Ex.

Micoofy Duck Was Out!

Sorry for no update yesterday. I was experiencing Black Friday along with everyone who's gay and everyone under the sun who's gifted with breasts! It was a great day and money well spent!

And let me tell you, 6 am, in front of a department store, is a great place to meet some high quality men!

The Green Ranger Does Care About You

You know, in case you didn't already know, the Green Ranger featured in the MGM Studios daily parade does care about you. Not like the Red Ranger. He's too into himself.

What Is The Point of Micoofy.com?

Someone via email recently asked me "What is the point of Micoofy.com?" Simple as that. One question. So I sat back in my leather chair and thought... how do I best explaing "Micoofy.com" to this individual.

Micoofy.com is not your "go to" website for the latest information/news regarding what's happening to Disney Parks. Micoofy.com is a blog that has purpose and the purpose is to get YOU interested in taking a vacation to the parks. Through visual stimulations and musical tunes that you will find here, well, I hope they get you thinking "Disney" when the time comes to start planning your next vacation.

Now I am a Gay park visitor and do see the parks in a different "light" whereas many other visitors see the parks as just a family destination. My festive queer eye sees something more than a "family vacation". The parks bring something new and fresh to my life and takes the term of enjoyment to the next level.

If you think about it, many of the stories released through Walt Disney Pictures deals with a character(s) growing as an individual despite being different among their peers and the character(s) grow as an individual despite diversity found within their social environments. I feel I can relate to the idea of acceptance that is just one of many ideals that Disney Parks represent.

So again, the purpose for Micoofy.com existing on the world wide web is to get YOU, the average web visitor, into visiting a Disney Park in the near future.

Oh... So Peter Pan Actually Grew Up...

In the Magic Kingdom's daily parade there is a float that features Peter Pan and Wendy... and that tramp Tinkerbell, but they usually feature a younger version of Peter Pan on the float. Much, much, much younger. This Peter Pan was just far too "grown up" when I snapped this photo.

Always Take The Time To Look At The Park Map

Weird thing about this photo is if you look at the top right hand corner of the man's shoulder, it looks as if an old woman is looking back at you. Freaky magic that is Disney!

Micoofy Duck would like to also make sure that you and your party take the freakin' time to look at the park's map. It will save you from stress, arguments and those fucked up moments where you find yourself on one side of the park when you really thought you were on the other side. Just look at the map!

Even The Suits Enjoy Disney Park Attractions

I snapped this photo while visiting Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. The night was almost over and I wanted to take a spin in the cars of Autopia. While I waited a few men in suits were able to cut in front of everyone using the handicap entrance and rode the ride and then quickly got off. I believe there were 3 total "suits" but this guy featured above just stood out because only so few men can fill out a suit properly.

Maybe someone who works in the exec side of things wanted to revisit a vintage ride of the park or maybe... just maybe these suits were taking visual notes when it comes time to updating Autopia or just getting rid of it altogether. Only time will tell.

MGM Studios ~ Great Movie Ride Trailer

The first time I rode MGM Studio's Great Movie Ride I had no idea what to expect. You walk into a lobby filled with cinema memorabilia that leads you into a large waiting room where a giant screen is playing vintage theatrical trailer after theatrical trailer. As you wait you see a handful of trailers and for some reason, me being young and queer, I noticed Singing in the Rain preview and it stuck in my mind.

So every time I revisit the Great Movie Ride I look forward to seeing that trailer bigger than life on the silver screen. Sometimes I wait for it, always letting people pass me by to get on the attraction. Once I see that trailer then I can get on the ride. With my most recent visit I just had to get a visual memory and so here it is. The raw cut trailer for Singing in the Rain.

State Fair Of Texas' Fake Mickey Doll

Recently the State Fair of Texas had some more crappy cheap cheap cheap cheap prizes for visitors to win... and one of them was a shirtless pantless hatless Mickey doll. I couldn't believe it.

This past season the State Fair of Texas grossed 26.2 million dollars and they continue to allow super cheap toys like this Mickey doll to be won. BUT I still love the Fair and will be going back next year because the Disney musical version of The Lion King stops by the Music Hall at Fair Park from Sept 20th - Oct 21st 2007. Yeah for Micoofy Duck!

Epcot ~ The Maelstrom Leisure

A great place to get off your feet while visiting Epcot is a single bench just in front of the Maelstrom attraction located just inside the Norway Pavilion. Once seated here you've got a stimulating visual show just to your right as the boats from the Maelstrom ride make appearances just above the waterfall. You've also got the scents and smells of a nearby Norwegian bakery. If you plan this rest spot perfectly you'll get your bakery treat first and then hopefully catch the bench when no one is around. Look for this on your next trip.

PhilharMagic ~ Doors Open AutoMagically

The detail that goes into any Disney Park attraction is worth your time. Take a moment to look around, below your feet, just above your head and then off to your right. Look for Disney detail. Most don't even notice the doors' "AutoMagically" phrase located inside PhilharMagic. The carpet inside the waiting room features musical instruments as seen in the show and the doors themselves each display a musical note.

Visual memories worth sharing here on Micoofy.com.

Hidden Gay ~ The Statue of Triton

Just a piece of Disney Park merchandise I figured could be categorized as Hidden Gay. He has no wife. He's very cut and defined when it comes to muscle definition. And he knows how to work a big... stick. If only King Triton could wish for legs and then bump into me at the local gay club overlooking the ocean.

Micoofy.com's November Guide Map

Starting on the first of every month Micoofy Duck of Micoofy.com will give you a texted guide map of what to expect during this month. Expect news and information to be found here as well as tips on how to better enjoy the Disney Parks. With just 5 trips to the U.S. Disney Parks since I was born, I am still a novice but no longer an amateur at the idea of planning a Disney Park trip.

The image featured above features PhilharMagic, the Magic Kingdom attraction that is Micoofy Duck's favorite destination. I always try to make this attraction the last Disney Park experience before having to return to my hotel to catch the dreaded bus that takes me back home. So until my next Disney Park visit, I will begin to create a new series of posts detailing everything that is PhilharMagic!

Although I won't spoil the attraction's 3D film for you in my series of posts dedicated to PhilharMagic. Disney Execs hate this kind of spoiling. You see someone [not me] recently put the videos of this attraction up on YouTube and it was deleted due to "terms of violation". Tsk Tsk Tsk.

So far my first Guide Map is limited but expect them to get better once Micoofy.com pushes towards its 1 year anniversary in March 2007! How else can I celebrate but with another trip to Walt Disney World... or Disneyland, I still can't figure which one to go to!
