Mickey Building A Disneyland Park In Frisco, Texas?

That's the big question so far. Ever since I heard the news on my local radio station here in Dallas, TX I've been hoping and praying that this forever old rumor of a Disneyland coming to Texas was going to come true this time. It turns out that on Super Bowl Sunday Disney Parks will announce a new park opening here in Texas. The radio personality who I heard saying this said her sources were "reliable" and that the park would be in Frisco, TX.

After doing some research and posting a "rumor" question over at MiceChat.com I discovered everyone in Dallas is talking about this same "rumor". Now all we have to do is just wait... wait... and wait until those fooseball boys start tossing around that pigskin come Sunday and finally we'll know for sure once and for all if this newest rumor is crap on your oversized yellow shoe.

Update: No TV spot was featured during the XLI SuperBowl game announcing Disneyland being built in Texas. Maybe next year folks... Maybe next year.

Micoofy.com's Christmas Tree Week Finale!

During Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom fireworks Christmas show there is a moment where Cinderella's Castle is turned into a christmas tree via green lights and a star explodes high in the sky. Pretty impressive and visually stunning when you find the right spot to stand for the show. Just make sure you are standing in front of the castle and close to the Walt Disney/Mickey statue for a clear view of this visual delight.

I do hope everyone enjoyed the WDW Christmas Tree photos my not so expensive camera took on this recent trip of mine. I still have plenty of Christmas Tree photos to share in a future weekly installment.

Animal Kingdom ~ Everest Wait Not So Long

Animal Kingdom's Expedition Everest has what many rides don't. A Single Rider Line!!! What is this you ask? It's the best thing in the whole wide theme park world. If you and your friends don't have all the time in the world then you all head to the Single Rider Line of Everest and get on the ride in little to no wait! Maybe you'll be scattered in various seats on the same train or maybe you'll be on different trains but nonetheless you'll be on your way to see that super cute huggable lovable Yeti.

Look for the sign and if you don't see it, ask an employee where the line is or if it is open. It isn't open everyday and there are some times during the day that they close the line but it is only temporarily.

Lovey Dovey Park ~ Wilderness Lodge Cave

Wildnerness Lodge Cave ~ If you have a pool/lake room view while staying at the Wilderness Lodge Resort then you should be well aware of a tiny cave [with stairs] that leads resort visitors towards the main lobby. This special area is known as Silver Creek Falls. If you find yourself using this cave pathway, don't forget to share a kiss under the cave walls. Please be aware that many, many people use it to get from point A to point B so you won't be alone under the cave walls for long. So no hanky panky, just a quick kiss to your partner.

[ Welcome to a whole new series of posts entitled Lovey Dovey Park that will help you find that romantic spot to exchange a kiss as well as any form of a romantic pg rated gesture of love. It is natural for a couple in love to want to express their affections in public while out on vacation but due to some close minded individuals the chance for romance must be handled out of their view.

If you are the type of person who doesn't mind holding off on a kiss with your partner but long for affection then look out for these Micoofy spots throughout the Disney Parks. ]

Animal Kingdom ~ Find This Disney Scene

On your next trip to Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom, make sure you and your party are on the look out for this fishing scene that features various characters from Disney animation. Can you believe that I missed this great fun scene on my first 2 trips to Animal Kingdom!?!? It wasn't until this most recent trip in December that I finally discovered this scene. Look for it because if you're in a hurry... well, you'll miss it!

Boyfriends Free To Walk Proudly Hand In Hand Inside Epcot

Micoofy.com reader "JoMic" submitted this photo he took featuring an out & proud gay couple walking hand in hand down Epcot's World Showcase. It's nice to see that the gay community can feel safe inside Walt Disney World. Thank you "JoMic".

I personally think Epcot is the perfect place for men and women to hold their partners hands without fear of being judged publicly by parents and/or staff. Now when it comes to the Magic Kingdom I do believe that some affections, whether coming from a straight couple or a gay couple, should be kept to a minimum of holding hands and for kissing to be kept to quick pecks on the facial area. None of that makeout session bullshit. And again I say this goes for anyone, gay or straight.

Keep the lust inside the Disney Park hotel rooms and out of the theme parks.

Stay tuned to Micoofy.com for a new series of posts that will reveal the romantic side of Walt Disney World.

Rain Rain Go Away, Come Back Over... Six Flags

I captured these wet wet WET guests just before Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. They were escaping the very wet Magic Kingdom and heading toward their hotel bus stops. Some guests just didn't want to wait until the rain passed over the Kingdom. They wanted out!

But as I waited under the bus transportation, protected from the rain, I got to watch the evening fireworks in the wet dark sky. You see, even if it rains over the Magic Kingdom, the fireworks will go off. High winds are what usually cancel any fireworks show at any Disney Park resort.

Although I must say that I did miss this incredible Disney Prince walking back toward the hotel bus stops. He was drenched with no protection from the down pour and his black shirt was glued to his highly muscular body and his pants were glued to his strong muscular thighs. I would compare his Disney Prince body to that of Matthew McConaughey. Rain really does make everything suck.

Yes It Rained On My Micoofy Vacation But Only 1 Day!

Please don't assume or expect that every single day at the Walt Disney World resort will be sunny and... well, sunny. Be prepared for rain and heavy down pours. Now I will say that on some of my 2006 trips to WDW that on the day I arrived the Weather Channel reported that it would be raining every day that I was in town but then the next day brought a whole new Weather Channel report informing me that it would be sunny for the rest of the week, and it was.

But I am always prepared for rain. Well, not really. This most recent trip I didn't take my WDW Mickey poncho because my last trip was sunny all week long. I figured there would be no rain. Boy was I wrong.

It rained about a day and a half towards the end of my trip and on top of the rain all week it was very cloudy thus making most of my pictures not as shiny and/or bright as my previous images I've posted on Micoofy.com. Since I did not bring my WDW Mickey poncho I had to buy new ones for my party and with the adult size running about 12 bucks each... well the more you buy the more you'll be upset at the Magic Kingdom.

Learn from my mistake! My shoes got wet. My socks got soaked. My buttocks area on my shorts were soaked from sitting on Main Street waiting for the Christmas parade.

So now that you've learned why not bring your own poncho(s) from home. You can buy rain ponchos at your local Target/Wal-Mart stores but remember the less you pay for one the less it will protect you from the rain. The WDW Mickey ponchos are a bit pricey but they work due to high quality materials used to produce them and I remained dry there after.

Also, bring an extra pair of socks because your feet will step into a puddle and they will get soaked. Just be prepared for a rain couple of days. Finally, block out those people in your life that are babbling on and on about how it never ever rains 'cause it does!

Check back tomorrow for a flood of pics that will show you how bad it was that rainy, magical night!

Wear Your Disney Theme Park Hats Proudly!

On my recent December trip, well, someone in our party wanted to wear their Mickey ears on the plane and throughout the Orlando airport. I told them that it would be a bit embarrassing to walk around with Mickey ears on their head while on the plane and walking through the airport simply because the hat would just be out of place.

But when one finds themselves on Disney property... like Disney's Magical Express, the transportation bus that takes you from the airport to the resort, well then my wacky friend, you can proudly wear your Mickey ears and/or any Disney Park hat you've purchased online, on your previous visit or one you've possibly borrowed from a friend.

Once on Disney property no one will look down at you for wearing such funny, humurous hats and some will even get jealous as they seek to find their own hat. Believe me, once on Disney property you will be shocked and amazed how many people are wearing Disney Park hats!

I'm a baseball cap wearing type person so I'm not into the whole Disney Park hat thing but one day I'll fork over some cash for a fun hat to wear. You know, the ones that light up usually get my attention. Yes, on my next trip I'll purchase a hat and wear it proudly... on Disney property.
